The most complex project I have worked on so far, being painted entirely by hand, is inspired by an old church in the village of my childhood, authentic Romanian folklore and the Lord’s Army. Carrying Saints Tears, you will go back in time, you will smell the old church with a lot of incense lit on the altar and you will be carried through the secular forests of my homeland Romania, like only the Romanian brother with old forest…!
The beech wood cover is engraved and has as a model the old barks made in the house of the women from the ethnographic area of Oltenia…! Each lid is hand-painted, patinated and aged as if many generations had passed over it. Each bottle is unique, painted, antiqued, scratched and patinated by hand in several layers. With this technique I tried to imitate the smoky walls made by burnend candles and scratches of an old church, where the time bears his print from Grojdibodu, Olt (Romania)
